ABOUT “PASSION”
Passion is a pure feeling of “this is what I’m born to do”! And it is so true about Alexander Solotzew, an internationally acclaimed Russian-German artist, who has started painting since he was a little boy. And as a result of an unconditional dedication, his Art became his Life. Solotzew’s paintings reflect the beauty and love of our world. It is his “joie de vivre” that transcends through each painting and makes them alive.
Born in Kenigsberg, Alexander received his education in the renowned State Russian Academy of Fine Arts named by I.Y. Repin in St. Petersburg. In 1981 Solotzew immigrated to Germany, and later lived in France for almost 10 years. Today the Artist maintains two working studio-galleries in Germany and Florida, US.
“Passion” exhibition features most recent artworks, influenced by the Alexander’s journey across the world, where each culture and tradition finds its reflection in his heart. Various thematic artworks will be presented in different mediums: oil on canvas, water color, mixed media and graphic.
The exuberant colors, poetic sensitivity and endless passion for life are the distinctive elements of Alexander’s paintings. The fairy imagination saturates his art with bursting vitality and multi¬layered mystery.
Solotzew’s artworks were acquired by private collections and several museums around the world including: USA, Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, Canada, Russia and Costa Rica.
ARTIST’S STATEMENT:
“...It is a miracle to bring beauty and vitality to canvas and paper; to play with colors and to make them sound. I create what emerges and transforms inside me with that which moves and inspires me. The moving force in my life is always positive.
Love, light and color are my potions of life.
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!
What we allow and what we decide becomes reality…”
